Carbon storage & increased biodiversity for woolgrowers

The Carbon Storage Partnership aims to identify the most effective techniques for farmers across Australia to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, sequester carbon in soil and vegetation, and build biodiversity.

Funded by Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), the initiative is developing profitable and sustainable pathways to a carbon-neutral Australian livestock sector by 2030.

Managed by Associate Professor Matt Harrison at the University of Tasmania, the collaborative project considers agro-ecological region, prevailing climate type, and different sheep enterprise mixes.
