RELAUNCHED: Making More From Sheep

The well-respected sheep industry resource Making More From Sheep (MMFS) has been relaunched with significantly updated and new information for sheep producers.

MMFS is a one-stop-shop for Australian sheep producers and has been updated to include the latest sheep industry research, tools and information on husbandry and management, including resources, videos, apps, technologies, podcasts and fact sheets.

MMFS began development by Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) in 2006, with its first release to industry in 2008. Since then, AWI and MLA have continued to invest in the development and update of MMFS as a key resource for the Australian industry.

The MMFS offering has now expanded to include 12 Modules, animal health fact sheets and presentations and conference recordings, and for the first time ever in 2024, the Making More From Sheep eLearning course, which is housed on both the AWI and MLA eLearning platforms.

Modules cover all aspects of sheep production – sheep and human wellbeing and welfare, wool, lamb and sheepmeat production, sustainability, productivity and profitability across breeding, reproduction, pasture and feedbase – generated from years of research and on-farm experience.
